Pufferfish specializes in internally projected video spheres. The product that is demonstrated at ISE is an eye-catching, yet simple and portable, rugged full 360 º displays, called Puffersphere M. These installations can be ground standing or inverted and have no blank spots, no mirrors and no secondary lenses.
They can be used as stand-alone units, configured in networked fleets or integrated into existing event, tradeshow and permanent architectures.

Scandinavian Screen Solutions will showcase its new mobile LED-screen at ISE, outside Entrance C of the RAI Conference Centre in Amsterdam. The high-end Scala driven installation is a versatile product that redefines the word mobile.
The size of the the double sided LED-screen - 162 inch - ensures a big impact on the audience around the screen and the design of the display is very sleek.
The installation can be operated from within the cabin of the truck, which ensures the user of the screen to reach the target audience at any time and any place.
The truck is 4-wheel driven and a B-class drivers license is sufficient to operate the truck, making it easy to use by virtually anyone anywhere.

Scala partner xplace GmbH, Europe-wide market leader and specialist in digital customer information systems, uses Teracue MC-SCREEN encoders to distribute digital signage advertising signals in HD quality on hundreds of LCD and plasma screens.
xplace's newest product is currently installed in the TV departments of the Dutch Media-Saturn stores: Instore-TV via IP-TV. It provides digital signage on all available LCD and TV displays.
In addition, live TV and videos on demand can be played on all TV equipment in highest HD quality.
This is done by using a video distribution system based on an IP network. Thus a single live video stream can be provided on any number of devices.
The professional production and display of the content which is later sent via the IP network is performed by a SCALA digital signage system.
The production of the live video streams and live distribution of the digital signage content adopts MC-SCREEN encoder by Teracue. The MC-SCREEN software encoder grabs digital signage screen-displays, converts the complete desktop view of the PC into a full HD stream and sends it out into the network (multicast). The displays in the stores receive the HD stream via standard IPTV set top boxes, as the Aminet 130 and 140 series from Amino.
In this case MC-SCREEN is installed directly on the SCALA HD digital signage players. As the MC-SCREEN encoder can be operated directly on the SCALA player, and due to the fact that it is a pure software encoder, a full HD video stream can be produced cost-efficiently and without requiring extra hardware. This is a new step for Digital Signage signal distribution.

In the midst of planning for DSE 2011, I'd like to take a moment to share two great companies award winning companies that are using Scala. The 2010 Digi Award Winners were recently announced...and Scala has 2 - both for "Best Digital Signage Applications."
Texas State Technical College (TSTC) won the 2010 Digi Award for Interactive Technology Roll-out for their one of a kind "Digital Signage Degree Program." We're pretty pumped about this one and so are they. They have it listed on the front page of their website.
4 Food makes me crave a burger every time I visit their site. They won the 2010 Digi Award for Best Deployment, Integration of Digital Signage and Mobile/Cell Phone Technology. You can build your burger online on their website and pick it up in their Manhattan location...so make sure you try it if you're in NYC. That's just the tip of the iceberg lettuce with their installation as it has many more features built around their unique social community and Twitter feeds. Our partners Zero-in Media (network implementation) and Telecine (content creation) both did a great job helping this dynamic network surpass expectations.
We have some photos of 4 Food's install here on our Facebook page. For the TSTC installation, we have both a press release and a case study (including photos) on their "Digital Signage Degree Program."
Check them both out - maybe some of the content from these award winners will be featured in our booth next month at DSE.
